The course will be taking us to 3 primary sites in Colombia; Bogota, the capital city of the country, situated high in the Andes mountains; Leticia, a town on the Amazon River that serves as the main centre for supplies and services in the region; and Calanoa, a facility on the banks of the Amazon River that will be our base camp and main site of study. There will also be short excursions from Calanoa to local Indigenous communities along the river.
